The Wellness Fusion event is designed to provide participants with a holistic wellness experience by combining the invigorating practice of Muay Thai, the calming and balancing elements of yoga, the rejuvenating techniques of face yoga, and the centering practice of meditation. This unique event aims to enhance physical fitness, promote mental well-being, and foster a sense of inner peace.

After the practice we will share some snacks and drinks, where we can exchange smiles and experiences.

🌛 YIN 12:00-13:10 Calming yoga sequence

A tranquile yin yoga inspired sequence, directed at calming the senses, and let by Alina.

We will stretch and do some self care, including pranayama and a part with Face Yoga – A series of exercises and stretches for the muscles in your face (based on Face Yoga Method)

About Alina:

Alina is a strong believer that yoga extends beyond just practicing asanas. She typically initiates her classes with a brief satsang (talk) centered on yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, or other relevant topics aimed at aiding students in delving deeper into themselves. During the flow portion of her classes, Alina emphasizes dynamism, incorporating numerous circular rotations of shoulders and legs, fostering connection to the core, and emphasizing breath awareness while engaging in fluid movements. She strives to keep each class unique, promising a fresh experience every time, complete with precise cues and ample assistance, perhaps even including a gentle massage during Šavasana. Alina‘s educational background includes Hatha Vinyasa RYT 500 certification, along with coursework in yoga philosophy, yoga therapy, Ayurveda, and Shadow Yoga.

About Alex:

Alex discovered Ayurveda during her Yoga Teacher Training in 2018, and immediately, everything fell into place. Learning to live and nourish herself according to my Ayurvedic constitution has been one of the greatest tools of self-knowledge. Since then, she has been fascinated with this sister science of yoga, and studying it in various courses.

Fulden Wernli is a dedicated Integrative Nutrition Holistic Health and Wellness Coach, with a passion for helping individuals embark on a journey towards well-being. Having experienced her transformative health odyssey in the serene Swiss countryside, she now splits her time between the vibrant Miami scene and nature’s tranquil embrace. This balance reflects her holistic approach to health, which encompasses not only nutrition but also the relationship with one’s environment and inner self.

Alina Cvetkova

Alina encountered yoga while searching for herself and acceptance. Right from the beginning, it clicked. Her natural instinct for knowledge was awakened and she dived deeper and deeper into the world of yoga and Ayurveda. A trained teacher of Hatha Yoga, Hindu Philosophy and Yoga Therapy, Alina believes that yoga consists of much more than just asanas.

Focus on Strength & Flexibility: creating awareness in the smaller, more subtle muscle groups related to the different segments of the spine. Understanding the importance of preparing the body with basic postures: to release tension and to create length in the anterior line (front side) of the body and to learn the proper selection of muscle groups responsible for mobility.

Improving the understanding in your body avoids that all the weight falls on the most flexible part of your lower back (L4/L5) which could cause injury. The awareness created by this practice increases your mobility, while still breathing properly and using less effort in order to accomplish advanced Asanas with ease.

This method has been designed to:

✺ Improve the overall health of your spine and to reduce deterioration on a physical level that comes with age

✺ Improve the backbends in your regular Asana practice

✺ Releasing tension from the chest and shoulders, improving lung capacity

✺ Opening the heart to release stored emotions and break through insecurity and fear.

After multiple years of intensive practice with him, Juliette was one of the first teachers in the world to be certified by renowned Backbends teacher Vinay Kumar from PranaVashya Yogashala in Mysore, India. She’s teaching weekly Backbends classes in Berlin (& online) and workshops internationally based on his method. It’s an all-level workshop with extra variations for experienced students. Creating stability and strength is essential for a good foundation to work safely towards more advanced backbends.

17-18 November // Shadow Yoga with Amelie Strecker

Amelie Strecker is coming back to Zürich to give another workshop on Shadow Yoga. 

Amelie is an official Shadow Yoga teacher listed on the Shadow Yoga website and a close student of the founders: Sundernath (Shandor Remete) and Emma Balnaves. Her life long experience with Yoga and 20 years of teaching it makes her an experienced guide to others on the path. Since 2012 she runs her own Yogaschool in Barcelona: Yogaroom Barcelona.

In Shadow Yoga the student is taken in the first years through preparatory practices to repattern movement and to unleash energy. Using dynamic squatting sequences and warm ups with graceful movement like in martial arts and healing arts. The preludes (sequences) help to balance Dosha and give the body and mind strength and fluidity.
